Will Muschamp is throwing a party for recruits Saturday at USC and one who plans to be there for the hamburgers and hot dogs is wide receiver Justin Marshall (6-foot-3, 193 pounds) of Conyers, Ga. The Gamecocks recently offered Marshall who also has offers from Tennessee, Louisville, North Carolina, Maryland, NC State, Cincinnati and about 15 other schools.

"I think it's a blessing to have an opportunity and another place to look at to go to school," Marshall said of his USC offer. "They are telling me to work hard and come in and do what I need to do. I could be another Pharoh (Cooper) in the offense."

Marshall is being recruited to USC by Bryan McClendon, whom he knew when he was coaching at Georgia. He likes what McClendon and Muschamp are doing at their new program.

"Coach Muschamp made a big impact on the school when he came, and coach B-Mac also has made a big impact on the school," he said.

Marshall had an old favorites list of Louisville, Maryland, West Virginia, Cincinnati, North Carolina, Western Kentucky and N.C. State, but he plans to wipe the slate clean and create a new list next week. But Louisville remains the leader at this point.

Last season Marshall had 35 catches for 768 yards and six touchdowns.
