Wide receiver Shawn Smith commits to South Carolina
South Carolina picked up a wide receiver commitment Saturday at part of a recruiting cookout held on campus.
Brunswick (Ga.) High wide receiver Shawn Smith committed to Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks for the Class of 2017.
Smith (5-11, 160) last season had 33 catches for 315 yards and two touchdowns to go with 75 carries for 509 yards and seven more scores. As a sophomore he 33 catches for 485 yards and four touchdowns, with 101 carries for 624 yards and nine scores.
He is the eighth commitment for USC’s 2017 class.
