MJ Webb sets return visit to see Gamecocks

Defensive end M.J. Webb of Madison, Ga., rated his last visit to South Carolina a 10 out of 10 and is itching to get back to campus.

Webb was last in Columbia for the Will Muschamp Elite Day cookout event on July 23. That was his third visit in three months with the Gamecocks.

He plans to watch USC practice on Aug. 19 and is also scheduled for an official visit for the weekend of the Georgia game.

As of now, USC is a strong favorite for Webb, who talks with Muschamp once a day or every other day.

“Most people, like my teammates, they think I’m going to end up going to South Carolina, but you never know until the end of my process,” Webb said.

Webb has also had Auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky and Florida on his short list. Webb hopes to announce his decision sometime in early November but does not have a specific date chosen yet.
