Staley announces coaches’ clinic
South Carolina coach Dawn Staley has always given back to her fans, and her latest initiative is designed to give more.
Staley announced a coaching clinic titled “Women Empowering the Game” on Thursday. The clinic will be held from 1-6 p.m. on Oct. 30 at Colonial Life Arena.
Its goal is to talk strategy and techniques for success in basketball, and foster learning, conversation and inspiration. Open to anybody but recruits (no prospective student-athlete can attend due to NCAA rules), the clinic costs $75 per person.
Featured speakers are Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve, Chicago Sky coach Pokey Chatman, Seattle Storm coach Jenny Boucek and WNBA Chief of Operations and Player Relations Renee Brown.
