Alaina Coates named SEC Co-Player of the Week

South Carolina senior center Alaina Coates was named SEC Co-Player of the Week on Tuesday, splitting the award with Mississippi State’s Morgan William.

Coates had her third double-double in as many games against Maine on Monday, needing just 15 minutes to do it. She has 51 double-doubles in her career.

She had 16 rebounds against Hampton and was a point short of matching her career-high (29).

The Gamecocks host St. Peter’s at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
