The GoGamecocks Podcast: USC women pick up big win, men hit rough patch

South Carolina men’s and women’s basketball teams are each roughly a third of the way through their schedules, getting towards the end of nonconference play and the start of SEC games. At the moment, Frank Martin’s squad stands at 6-4, while Dawn Staley’s group is 9-1.

In the newest episode of The GoGamecocks Podcast, The State’s Greg Hadley and Andrew Ramspacher break down what’s gone wrong with the men’s team as it comes off a two-loss trip to Cancun over the Thanksgiving weekend, a narrow win over UMass and a 20-point defeat to Houston at Colonial Life Arena.

Then, they discuss the success of the women’s team, the Gamecocks’ upset of then-No. 2 Baylor, the development of senior point guard Tyasha Harris and how close USC might be to becoming the nation’s No. 1-ranked team.

The GoGamecocks Podcast is available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Google Play Music, Spotify, Stitcher, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, Pandora, RadioPublic, Luminary, Pocket Casts, Podchaser, Castbox, Castro and Overcast.
