The South Carolina women’s basketball team has made the Final Four for a second straight year.

This time, the Gamecocks are set to take on fellow 1-seed Louisville at 7 p.m. Friday at Target Center in Minneapolis for a chance at reaching the national championship game. South Carolina is the favorite to win the semifinal contest, according to Draft Kings and BetMGM.

Both outlets, as well as BetOnline.ag, have the Gamecocks as the national championship favorite as well.

The Gamecocks hold a 17-4 series lead over the Cardinals, which includes a 2-1 advantage in neutral sites. South Carolina has won 11 of the last 12 meetings. The most recent game was a top-five matchup in the 2016-17 season where the third-ranked Gamecocks earned an 83-59 victory over the Jeff Walz-led No. 4 Cardinals. The Gamecocks ended that season on an 11-game winning streak en route to the program’s first-ever national championship.
