Sold out! Stars aligning for epic South Carolina-LSU women’s basketball game
Colonial Life Arena is planning for a packed house on Feb. 12.
The South Carolina women’s basketball team will play LSU in front of a sold-out crowd on that Sunday in February, the team announced Wednesday. The game tips off at 2 p.m. on ESPN.
LSU and South Carolina are currently the only undefeated teams in Division I women’s basketball. USC defeated Kim Mulkey’s Tigers in Baton Rouge last season. Both teams are one of three in the SEC with an 8-0 conference record, with Tennessee as the other.
South Carolina (20-0) and LSU (19-0) were Nos. 1 and 4 in the most recent Associated Press women’s basketball poll, respectively.
The Gamecocks have won at least a share of the SEC regular season six times since 2014.
USC has sold out at least one game each year since the 2015-16 season, when it played its first sellout game against UConn.
South Carolina has four games to play before LSU comes to town — including the Gamecocks’ Feb. 5 road trip to face UConn.
