No. 1 South Carolina and No. 9 LSU — the two most recent national champions — battle in Baton Rouge on Thursday night. If you’re still on the hunt for tickets, prepare to shell out some serious cash.
The game hasn’t been officially declared a sellout, but resale tickets on Ticketmaster are marked as high as $1,390 as of Monday afternoon. The website lists a pair of lower bowl tickets on Ticketmaster in Row J of Section 112 priced at $1,390 apiece. That number swells to $3,331.64 for both seats when factoring in fees and taxes.
LSU will leave some walk-up tickets available for purchase Thursday at Pete Maravich Assembly Center, though a team spokesperson did not specify how many. LSU expects the game to be sold out by tipoff. The arena has a capacity of 13,215.
Ticketmaster, as of Monday afternoon, listed three pairs of seats for the game above $1,000 per ticket, with 16 other pairs at or above $500 each.
The least expensive pair of tickets listed on Ticketmaster are in the general admissions section at $80 each.
Comparatively, general admissions tickets to LSU’s game versus Arkansas this past Sunday ranged from $21 to $34 as of Friday. The most expensive pair of tickets for the LSU-Arkansas game cost $327 each in Row B of Section 103. As of Sunday, single tickets to LSU’s home game against Florida Feb. 4 start as low as $9 as, with the most costly pair of seats marked at $510 each in Row C of Section 216.
Last year’s regular-season matchup between South Carolina and LSU at Colonial Life Arena marked the eighth sellout in team history, all of which came under coach Dawn Staley. That game in Columbia was a pricey ticket as well, with the most expensive resale seats above $2,000.
The Gamecocks’ 2024 home game against the No. 8 UConn Huskies was declared a sellout on Dec. 20. It marked the eighth season in a row with a sold-out women’s basketball game the 10th sellout in program history.
