The South Carolina women’s basketball team will recognize five players Sunday for Senior Day prior to its matchup with Kentucky at Colonia Life Arena.

The Gamecocks will fully honor Bree Hall, Sania Feagin and Raven Johnson while also recognizing Sakima Walker and Te-Hina Paopao who came back for a final season this year.

Hall, Feagin and Johnson make up the players from the 2021 recruiting class that has won two national championships during their time as Gamecocks. Hall and Feagin each played their last four years at South Carolina and have exhausted their college eligibility.

Johnson, on the other hand, has a decision to make.

The guard is technically a redshirt junior since she missed all but two games of her freshman year with an injury. Johnson could decide to enter the WNBA Draft after South Carolina’s season concludes, but she could come back to USC for another year if she so chooses. She could even enter the transfer portal and opt to conclude her college career elsewhere.

It’s important to note: Just because Johnson is being honored on Senior Day does not mean she won’t be back next year. Just see the examples of Paopao and Walker from a year ago.

Paopao and Walker were both recognized last year on Senior Day but ultimately came back to use their final years of eligibility this year.
