MiLaysia Fulwiley was named the SEC’s Sixth Woman of the Year on Tuesday.

Fulwiley is averaging 11.9 points per game while playing all of her minutes off the bench. She’s also tied with Raven Johnson for the team lead in steals per game (1.5) and is No. 3 in blocks per game (0.7).

Fulwiley was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team last year and was named the SEC Tournament MVP.

She’s not the only Gamecock to earn All-SEC honors this season, awards that are voted on by the league’s coaches.

Joyce Edwards was named to the All-SEC First Team and All-Freshman Team; Fulwiley and Te-Hina Paopao were both named to the All-SEC Second Team; and Sania Feagin and Raven Johnson were named to the All-SEC Defensive Team.

Edwards is leading the Gamecocks in scoring, all while coming off the bench. The freshman phenom is averaging 13 points per game with a field goal percentage of 55.8. She is also averaging 4.9 rebounds per game.

Edwards has been named the SEC Freshman of the Week four times this season. She was beat out by Vanderbilt’s Mikayla Blakes for SEC Freshman of the Year honors. Blakes is averaging 23.3 points per game for the Commodores.

Paopao’s All-SEC nod this season is the latest in a long list of accolades she’s earned in her career. Last year, her first at South Carolina, she was named to the All-SEC Second Team and was an All-American. During her time at Oregon she was named to the All-Pac-12 team twice.

Paopao is third in scoring for the Gamecocks this year with 10.2 points per game and leads the team with 3.0 assists per game.

Johnson leads the team with 1.5 steals, and Feagin is No. 2 on the team with 1.6 blocks per game. This is Johnson’s third All-SEC nod of her career. She was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team in 2023 and earned an All-SEC Second Team selection last season.

This is Feagin’s first All-SEC selection of her career. She was previously named to the SEC Community Service Team (2023) and SEC Academic Honor Roll (2022).

Texas head coach Vic Schaefer was named the SEC Coach of the Year, breaking Dawn Staley’s streak of three straight years winning the award.
