The 2025 women’s national championship game is set.

South Carolina beat Texas and UConn beat UCLA on Friday to set up a highly anticipated Sunday title game between the Gamecocks and the Huskies.

Sportsbooks’ initial take on the game? UConn — and not by a coin flip.

FanDuel’s opening line was UConn as a 5.5-point favorite over South Carolina.

That line quickly moved up to UConn by 6.5 after being released.

ESPN BET also had the line at UConn by 5.5 points.

That positions the Gamecocks as a roughly two-possession underdog heading into their last game of the season, likely because they lost their only other meeting against UConn this season by 29 points (in Columbia).

No. 1 South Carolina trailed by eight points in the first quarter before pulling away from No. 1 Texas before halftime and ultimately winning by 17 points, 74-57.

And No. 2 UConn blew out No. 1 UCLA, 85-51, to record the first ever 30-point win in a women’s Final Four game and set up a meeting between two of the sport’s elite.
