Former South Carolina women’s basketball player Bree Hall has been waived by the Indiana Fever during this year’s WNBA training camp. The team announced the roster move via social media Monday afternoon.

Hall was selected by the Fever with the No. 20 overall pick in the second round of the 2025 WNBA Draft on April 14.

The Fever played two preseason games over the weekend. Hall did not play in the team’s 79-74 overtime win over the Mystics on Saturday. She did play 16 minutes against the Brazilian National Team on Sunday, scoring nine points and tallying four rebounds.

Hall was a pillar of one of the most successful recruiting classes at South Carolina alongside Sania Feagin and Raven Johnson. She helped USC win two national championships during her time as a Gamecock. Hall, known for her defensive prowess and knack for making timely big shots in college, averaged 5.8 points in 147 games at South Carolina.

The Fever also waived Jillian Alleyne alongside Hall on Monday. Hall is the second former Gamecock to be waived in the last few days. Mikiah Herbert Harrigan was waived by the Dallas Wings on Saturday.

The WNBA regular season begins next week.
