Four-star recruit taking official visit to South Carolina WBB this weekend
A top 25 women’s basketball recruit in the Class of 2026 will be in Columbia this weekend for an official visit, per a report.
Four-star center Kelsi Andrews is set to take her official visit with Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks, according to 247Sports’ Dushawn London.
Andrews is ranked No. 21 in espnW’s Class of 2026 top 100 rankings. Listed at 6-foot-4, she is ranked as the No. 2 center in her class by 247Sports. Andrews plays at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and is ranked as the No. 1 recruit in Florida by 247Sports.
Andrews holds offers from blue bloods like Ohio State, Duke, North Carolina, LSU and Notre Dame (among others), per On3. She’s taken recent visits to Auburn, Virginia, LSU and Mississippi State, according to her social media.
The forward helped IMG capture a national championship in April after beating Monteverde Academy 80-78 in overtime. Andrews finished with a double-double after recording 12 points and 13 rebounds in the game.
Andrews has already had success at the international level. In 2023 she won a gold medal in the FIBA Americas U16 Championship after averaging 6.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and a team-leading 1.7 blocks for Team USA. In 2024, she won another gold medal at the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup after she averaged 2.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in seven games.
Andrews also participated in the Team USA U19 national team trials this year.
