Allisha Gray joins former Gamecocks on WNBA All-Star team for 2026
South Carolina women’s basketball will now be represented by three former players in the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game.
Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray was among the 12 all-star reserves announced Tuesday night by the league. She joins fellow former Gamecocks A’ja Wilson (eighth all-star selection) and Aliyah Boston (fourth all-star selection) who were announced as all-star starters last week.
This is Gray’s fourth consecutive All-Star nod. The former South Carolina star has earned the honor in every year since she joined the Dream in 2023.
Gray is putting up stellar numbers in 2026. She’s averaging a career-high 18.5 points per game to go with 3.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and a career-high 1.6 steals per game. Gray has become a focal point for the Dream on the court and is averaging a career-high 14.2 field goal attempts per game. Her 2026 numbers are nearly identical to the stats she put up last season when she earned her first All-WNBA honors.
Gray has led the Dream to a 12-9 record so far this year.
She just missed the cut on being an all-star starter. The games’ starters are voted on by the fans (50% of the vote), a media panel (25%) and current players (25%). Gray finished seventh amongst guards in all-star fan voting, eighth in media voting and sixth in player voting. As such, Gray was left to be picked as a reserve by the league’s coaches.
The WNBA All-Star game will be played in Chicago on July 25 (8:30 p.m. on ABC).
