Welch to make good on visit to Brookland-Cayce Grammar School

Challenge accepted.

Last year, a group of fourth-grade boys at Brookland-Cayce Grammar School No. 1 were challenged by their teacher. Brittany Daniels sought to motivate her students, and used the promise of a reward as inspiration.

This particular reward was a visit from Aleighsa Welch, a senior starter on the South Carolina women’s basketball team which advanced to the Final Four for the first time in program history.

Although Welch has graduated and is embarking on a professional career and the boys now are in the fifth grade, Daniels is making good on her promise and Welch will pay the students a visit. Daniels arranged the visit, which will take place at Brookland-Cayce Grammar No. 1 on Monday.
