Your guide to parking at Colonial Life Arena for USC basketball games
With construction taking away a lot of parking spaces around Colonial Life Arena, here’s your guide to parking for South Carolina basketball games this season.
Shuttles
If you plan on arriving 45 minutes before tipoff and don’t have a parking pass, the best way to get to CLA is to park at Pendleton Street Garage (corner of Pendleton and Pickens, adjacent to The Inn at USC). A shuttle will take you to the arena. Parking is free, but the shuttle costs $3 for a round-trip ticket.
Parking passes
Season passes for men’s and women’s basketball are sold out.
Garage spots
There may be spots available for $5 each at the Discovery Garage, Lot B and the Convention Center, but spots are limited and next to impossible to get into if there’s a downtown event.
There are city garages located near Pendleton, Park and Lincoln streets with spots for $5 each. There is a garage two blocks north of Gervais Street in the Lincoln Street Garage for $3 after 5 p.m.
Most garages open two hours prior to tipoff, but the DOT Garage doesn’t open until 6 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Closed
There are no longer parking lots near the Darla Moore School of Business and the Coliseum.
Gamecock Club
Members may park in Lot A, the Discovery Garage and the DOT Garage. You will be asked to present your hang tag.
Other options
Campus meters and city meters are usually shut off at 6 p.m. There are sidewalks bordering the Koger Center.
Look both ways
Beginning 60 minutes prior to tipoff, the block of Greene Street bounded by Lincoln and Gadsden (adjacent to CLA) will be closed to vehicles. It will also be blocked 20-30 minutes after each game.
Doors
CLA doors open one hour before tip for non-conference games and 90 minutes before SEC games.
