South Carolina remained No. 3 in the Associated Press Women’s Top 25 on Monday after finishing the SEC tournament with its second consecutive championship.

The Gamecocks (31-1) finished a perfect league season, becoming only the second team in SEC history to go 19-0.

USC is still behind unbeaten Connecticut and No. 2 Notre Dame. The Gamecocks and Fighting Irish have each lost to the Huskies. Notre Dame won the ACC tournament title but has been behind USC in each of the NCAA’s last two rankings of the Top 10 teams in America, seemingly paving the way for USC to be the No. 1 seed in the Lexington NCAA Regional.

The NCAA tournament pairings will be announced in one week.
