Watch video of Charl Schwartzel eagle at hole 10 in Saturday round of Masters
Charl Schwartzel began Saturday’s third round of the Masters five strokes behind playing partner and tournament leader Scottie Scheffler.
Scheffler padded his lead and Schwartzel, the 2011 Masters champion, trailed by seven shots after six holes.
Catching up looked unlikely, but could he cut into the deficit?
He did, at least temporarily.
After bombing his drive on the par-4 10 hole 344 yards, Schwartzel’s second shot from 136 yards landed five yards past the flag and spun back into the cut for an eagle-2.
The eagle cut Scheffler’s still imposing lead to five shots with eight holes to play.
