Seamus Power goes back-to-back with holes in one at 2023 Masters Par 3 tournament
The Masters’ annual Par 3 contest typically brings its own share of magical moments. That was certainly the case Wednesday at Augusta National Golf Club, with five holes in one tallied by the midafternoon.
Two of them came from Seamus Power — and in back-to-back fashion on the eighth and ninth holes.

The annual Par 3 contest precedes the Masters tournament.
Powers, from Waterford, Ireland, comes to Augusta National ranked 34th in the world. He won his second PGA Tour title this season, the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, has three top-10 finishes and is currently eighth in the FedEx Cup standings.
Powers played college golf at East Tennessee State University, turned pro in 2015 and made the PGA Tour in 2017. His first PGA Tour win came in the 2021 Barbasol Championship.
He earned his first trip to the Masters last year, finishing in a tie for 27th.
Former Masters championship Bubba Watson and Scottie Sheffler added their own aces on Wednesday. Sheffler’s on No. 9 qualified as a “slam dunk” hole in one. Tom Hoge also added an ace on the 8th hole.
Hoge went on to win the contest at 6-under par. Watson and Kurt Kitayama were second at 5-under.
