Lexington’s Plumer MVP in North-South Soccer Classic
Lexington’s Sam Plumer earned MVP honors for the South team in the 3-2 win over the North on Saturday in the North-South All-Star Soccer Classic at T.L. Hanna.
Plumer scored a goal and had an assist on the game-winning goal by Academic Magnet's Aaron Thornton in the second half. Hartsville’s Daniel Johnson had the other goal for the South.
Gaffney’s Thomas LaFrancis had a goal and assist and was named MVP for the North team.
In the girls match, the North and South tied 1-1. Fort Mill’s Kimber Haley (North) and West Florence’s Kailey Varney (South) were MVPs. River Bluff’s Bryce Kinard stopped six shots in goal for the South squad.
