River Bluff senior, Clemson signee earns national track honor

The honors keep coming in for River Bluff’s D.J. Ledell.

Ledell was named to the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Boys Track and Field on Tuesday. It’s the latest accolade for the Clemson signee. He was named South Carolina Boys Gatorade Track Athlete of Year and The State’s Midlands Boys Track and Field Athlete of Year.

Ledell won his fourth straight triple jump state title and his first long jump crown at the Class 5A state championships. He had a career-best jump of 50 feet, 6 inches to win the triple jump at New Balance Nationals last month.
