Lexington golfer wins second straight SCJGA Player of Year award
For the second straight year, Lexington’s Gracyn Burgess earned South Carolina Junior Golf’s top honor.
The Clemson signee was named the Beth Daniel Player of the Year on Wednesday. The award goes to the top female player in the SCJGA. Burgess will be honored by Beth Daniel at the Country Club of Charleston on Dec 22.
Burgess’s wins include the George Holliday Junior, WSCGA Junior Girls, CGA Twin States, the CGA Vicki Desantis, the CGA Girls Championship, and six high school championships. She won the Class 5A Lower Stare championship and came in third in the state tournament in helping the Wildcats to the state title.
