Hammond’s Bronson Myers repeats as medalist at SCISA 3A golf tournament

Hammond senior Bronson Myers won medalist honors at the SCISA 3A golf tournament that wrapped up Tuesday at Coastal Carolina’s Hackler Course.

Myers, an Elon signee, shot a 141 to win by one shot over Trinity-Byrnes Gene Zeigler. It was second straight year Myers earned medalist honors Cardinal Newman’s Elliott Pope was fourth with a 144 and earned all-state honors.

Trinity-Byrnes won the team title with a 605, two shots better than Hammond and Porter-Gaud. Hammond began the second day with a four-shot lead. Cardinal Newman was sixth with a 652 and Heathwood Hall seventh at 668
