It’s time to vote for The State’s Midlands High School Basketball Players of the Week for games played Jan. 3-8.. Voting ends at noon Thursday, and you can vote as many times you like. The winner will be announced on Lou Bezjak’s Twitter page on Thursday.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.:

BOYS BASKETBALL NOMINEES

GG Jackson, Ridge View: In three games at the Sugar Bowl Prep Classic in New Orleans, the top-20 ranked junior averaged 24.3 points over three games. He scored a career-high 40 points in a 66-62 win over Florida State University High School on Friday.

Randy Kelly, Blythewood: The Bengals senior did it all in a 68-37 victory over White Knoll. Kelly recorded a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds. He also added two assists and two blocks.

Collin Murray-Boyles, A.C. Flora: The junior scored 27 points and dominated the glass in a region-opening 79-51 win over Westwood. He also blocked several shots and altered others.

Lawson Wade, Richard Winn: The junior guard outscored an Eagles opponent when he scored 28 points in a 67-27 win over Anderson Christian.

Dylan Williams, Irmo: In three games last week, the senior guard scored 25, 14 and 18 in victories. His best effort was the 25 points when the Yellow Jackets came back from a halftime deficit to defeat Lexington 56-46.

GIRLS BASKETBALL NOMINEES

MiLaysia Fulwiley, Keenan: The junior guard scored 37 points in a 75-50 victory over Orangeburg-Wilkinson in the Raiders’ lone game last week.

Hillary Offing, Dutch Fork: The junior guard had a double-double in a 64-59 victory over Spring Valley. Offing scored 15 points with 12 rebounds, two assists and two steals before fouling out.

Alexis Sexton, Lexington: In wins over Irmo and Silver Bluff, Sexton combined to score 38 points. The Wildcats senior started the week with 25 points in a 65-18 win over Irmo before following that up with 13 points in a 49-46 win over Silver Bluff.

Daja Taylor, Newberry Academy: The senior has already amassed 2,000 points in her career and she’s adding to that total this season. In a 69-35 win over Wardlaw, Taylor scored 31 points.

Jessica Woods, Westwood: The Redhawks all-state guard combined for 46 points on the week. She had 19 in a 51-43 loss to Sumter. In Friday’s Region 4-4A opener against A.C. Flora, Woods scored 27 points to give Westwood a 58-39 in a battle of Class 4A top 10 teams
