This week’s nominees

John Allen Forrester, Airport baseball: Forrester allowed one hit in five innings to guide the Eagles to a 10-0 victory over Midland Valley on Thursday. He struck out eight with no walks in five innings. He also scored two runs and was 1-for-4 against MV on Monday.

Alanna Colbert, River Bluff girls soccer: Colbert scored five goals on the week. She opened the week with four goals in a 5-1 victory over Hammond. She then scored the only regulation goal in a 1-1 match with Lexington that the Gators won in penalty kicks.

Andee Dircks, Chapin softball: The Eagles had a busy week with eight games, including a tournament at Byrnes. Dircks was 10-for-15 with four homers and 10 RBIs.

Taylor Dreher, Gilbert softball: The Gardner-Webb signee hit .571 with two homers, including a grand slam and eight RBIs for the Indians last week.

Lauren Hardy, Blythewood softball: Bengals pitcher went 2-0 with 20 strikeouts and allowed just three earned runs. She also was 4-for-7 at the plate.

Emily Johnson, Irmo softball: Finished the week 5-for-6 with two doubles, a home run, four stolen bases and six RBIs in two games.

Kinlee Mozley, Gilbert girls soccer: The Indians sophomore scored six goals with an assist. She scored three goals in a 4-0 win over Fox Creek then added three more goals and an assist in a 5-2 victory over Brookland-Cayce.

Deanna Sweat, Dutch Fork softball: Sweat went 4-for-4 with a double, four RBIs, and two runs scored in a 21-6 victory over Dreher.

Parker Mergo, Brookland-Cayce baseball: Mergo went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI to lead the Bearcats to a 10-1 victory over Fox Creek in their only game of the week.

Jordan Nostrant, A.C. Flora softball: The Falcons split a pair of games with an 11-6 loss to Chapin before rebounding for a 21-1 victory over Lower Richland. The sophomore drove in nine runs in the two games with five hits, a double, home run and three runs scored.

Dylan Richardson, Hammond baseball: The junior drove in 11 runs and hit two home runs in three games during the week. He had back-to-back five-RBI games in a 9-4 win over Laurence Manning and an 11-1 victory over Pinewood Prep. He also earned the win over Laurence Manning by allowing two earned runs on three hits, five walks and three strikeouts in four innings.

Davis Rivers, A.C. Flora baseball: Moved to 3-0 on the season by pitching six innings of one-hit baseball against North Augusta. He struck out eight with no walks.

Brent Stukes, Gray Collegiate baseball: Stukes pitched eight innings on the week that included a complete game one-hitter in a 1-0 victory over Wilson Hall. He struck out 13 with one walk. His RBI in the first inning proved to be the game-winner. He threw an inning in a 7-2 victory over Batesburg-Leesville. He allowed one hit with a strikeout.

James Wilson, Spring Valley baseball: In a 12-3 win over Richland Northeast, Wilson earned the win by allowing two runs on three hits with 15 strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
