The State’s best: Meet the 2022 all-area high school boys and girls lacrosse teams

A look at The State’s Midlands all-area boys and girls lacrosse teams for the 2022 season.

All-Area Girls Lacrosse

Roxie Beasley, Dutch Fork: Senior led the team with 77 goals and 28 assists. Was 2022 Lower State Player and Midfielder of the Year, first-team all-state midfield.

Jordyn Boulwaure, Dutch Fork: Senior had 44 goals and 23 assists. First team all-state attack.

Riley Davis, Chapin: Senior was Lower State Defender of the Year and first-team all-state defense.

Raegan Dotterer, Lexington: Had 45 goals, 15 assists and 24 ground balls. Second-team all-state attack and committed to play at Shorter University.

Abigail Dove, Dutch Fork: Junior was first team all-state defense.

Reagan Finn, Chapin: Senior had 60 goals and 49 assists. First-team all-state midfield.

Riley Floyd, Chapin: Senior had 41 goals and 11 assists, First-team all-state midfield.

Riley Mattox, AC Flora: Junior had 44 goals, eight assists, 33 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and 23 draw controls. Second-team all-state.

Grace Truluck, AC Flora: Junior had 34 goals and seven assists. Second-team all-state midfield.

Katie Westbrook, River Bluff: Sophomore had 69 goals, 16 assists and 49 ground balls. Second-team all-state midfield.

—Goalies

Emerson Clamp, Lexington: Freshman had 65 percent save percentage. Second team all-lower state.

Caroline Moran, Dutch Fork: Junior allowed 3.9 goals a game. Second team all-state selection.

Grady Brandstatter, Chapin: Junior had 44 goals, 21 assists and 88 ground balls. Lower State Midfielder and Player of the Year, first-team all-state.

Chase Cannon, Lexington: Had 30 goals and six assists in just 12 games. First-team all-state midfield.

Michael Chudd, Dutch Fork: Junior had 43 goals and seven assists. Second-team, all-state.

Andrew Farmer, Chapin: Long stick midfielder had 63 ground balls, 26 caused turnovers. Lower State LSM of Year and first-team all-state.

Tyler Green, Chapin: Junior had 54 goals, 26 assists and 28 groundballs. First-team all-state attack.

Banks Hudson, AC Flora: Senior defender had 125 ground balls and 54 takeaways. Upper State Defender of Year and first-team all-state.

Caleb Ledley, Blythewood: Lower State Defender of Year and first-team, all-state.

Dean Miller, Lexington: Third in state in face-off percentage and ground balls. Second-team all-state.

Michael Moran, Hammond: Senior had 37 goals and 23 this season for the Skyhawks.

Braden Smith, AC Flora: Senior had 33 goals, 12 assists, 60 ground balls. First-team all-state midfield.

Goalies

Michael Hoos, Chapin: Junior had 61.4 percent save percentage and 7.2 goals against average. Second team, all-state.

Ben Studley, Dutch Fork: Sophomore had 6.9 goals against average. Lower State Goalie of Year and first-team all-state.
