Irmo, the champions of the tournament’s Southeast region, defeated the Philippines 6-4 on Friday. Irmo will play Michigan for the championship at 5 p.m. Saturday. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

Michigan defeated Las Vegas 9-8 in nine innings to win the other semifinal.

Layla Peppers had two hits and three RBIs, and Jones added three hits to lead Irmo. Kathryn Hill added two hits and Eason Davis had two RBIs.

Jones pitched a complete game to pick up the win. She allowed four runs, walked two and struck out three.
