By early next month, we should know which high school marching bands are state champions in South Carolina. But that shouldn’t stop you from picking your favorites a few weeks early.

The State has put together a list of the Midlands’ top marching bands for you to vote on ahead of the kickoff of the South Carolina state championships, which begin next weekend with preliminaries in Classes 1A to 4A on Oct. 22.Class 5A bands will have preliminary and final rounds the following Saturday at Irmo High School.

Vote in the poll below before midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 19, and we’ll announce the winner of our poll next week.
