Lexington senior voted The State’s Midlands high school volleyball Player of Week

The votes have been tabulated and Lexington senior Kendall Vinson is the winner ofThe State’s Midlands high school volleyball Player of the Week for Aug. 21-26

Thanks to everyone who voted for the poll. A new one will be out on Monday.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.

Ineara Glover, Dreher: Glover, a senior middle blocker, helped the Blue Devils to a victory over Airport. She had five kills and two blocks in the victory.

Victoria Harris. Cardinal Newman: The senior had 27 digs, 21 kills and 37 serve receptions. Her pass rating was 2.44 and her hitting percentage was 0.34.

Alexis Jodie, River Bluff: The Gators went 1-2 last week against a challenging schedule. Jodie, a sophomore setter, finished the week with 70 assists, 16 digs and nine kills in nine total sets.

Alivia Martin, Ben Lippen: The junior outside hit finished with 18 digs, 12 kills and two aces in a 3-0 win over North Central.

Masyn McClanahan, River Bluff: The junior libero had 40 digs, nine assists and a 2.00 SR rating as the Gators went 1-2 for the week.

Dani Mejia, Chapin: The senior outside hitter had 15 kills, 12 digs and one ace in a 3-0 win over Gray Collegiate.

KyAsia Savage, Keenan: The senior outside hitter had 24 kills, 10 aces, 26 digs and two blocks to lead the Raiders to wins over Lower Richland and Great Falls.

Kendall Vinson, Lexington: The senior outside hitter finished the weekend with 57 kills, 33 digs, eight aces, two blocks and two assists as the Wildcats swept five games at the Aiken Invitational.
