North Central junior voted The State’s high school volleyball Player of the Week

It’s time to vote for The State’s volleyball Player of the Week from Midlands-area high schools and games played Sept. 18-23 Voting ends Friday at noon.

The winner will be announced Friday on Twitter.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.

Addie Bittner, North Central: The Knights got in six matches last week (two region, four tournament) and Bittner had a hitting percentage of .341 with 74 kills, 60 digs, nine aces, four blocks and one assist.

Kaitlyn Cannon, Lexington: The Wildcats finished third at the Dorman Tournament of Champions. The senior middle hitter recorded 36 kills, 14 blocks and seven aces during the tournament.

Aryanna Connell, Camden: The junior middle hitter had 47 kills, 10 aces, 19 blocks and 41 digs as the Bulldogs went 6-2 in eight matches last week.

Dymond Harmon, Keenan: The senior setter finished the Indian Land tournament with 30 assists, 17 digs and 10 aces.

Katelyn Long, Chapin: In a win over Dutch Fork, Long recorded 13 kills.

Alivia Martin, Ben Lippen: The Falcons went 3-2 on the week in which the junior recorded 37 kills and five aces.

Maggie Northcutt, Pelion: In two matches last week, the senior middle blocker recorded 15 kills and nine blocks.
