Lexington’s Jaxon Prunty voted Midlands high school boys basketball player of week

The votes are in, and Lexington’s Jaxon Prunty wins the vote for The State’s Midlands High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.

Boys Player of Week nominees

Jaiden Haltiwanger, Hammond: Junior scored 17 points in a win over Ben Lippen last week.

Izzy Macklin, Camden: Senior scored 22 points in Bulldogs’ win over Latta on Saturday.

Josiah Peeples, Cardinal Newman: Senior had 20 points, four steals and three rebounds in win over Heathwood Hall.

Jaxon Prunty, Lexington: Senior averaged 23 points in Lexington’s wins over River Bluff and Chapin last week.

Cedric Schofield, Keenan: Junior had 29 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks and two steals in Raiders’ lone game against Eau Claire last week.

Justin Skelton, Spring Valley: Senior had 18 points and three steals against Rock Hill last week.
