Chapin’s Reagan Haggard voted Midlands high school girls basketball player of week

The votes are in, and Chapin’s Reagan Haggard wins the vote for The State’s Midlands High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week.

Thanks to all who voted. A new poll will be up on Monday afternoon.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.

Lucia Bailey, Ridge View: Senior averaged 15 points, six rebounds and 3.5 steals in Blazers’ two wins last week.

Joyce Edwards, Camden: Senior and South Carolina signee averaged 30 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and three steals in Bulldogs’ three wins, including one over Clarkville Christian (Tenn.).

Michaela Fairwell, Dutch Fork: Junior averaged 21.5 points, 9.5 steals, 5.5 rebounds and five assists in Silver Foxes’ two wins last week.

Terriana Gray, AC Flora: Senior and Alabama A&M signee averaged 17.5 points, 4.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals as Falcons won both games last week.

Reagan Haggard, Chapin: Sophomore averaged 20 points, 12 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 blocks in Eagles’ two games last week.

Kayce Hyman, Hammond: Senior averaged 22.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in Skyhawks’ three games last week.

Lauren Jacobs, Heathwood Hall: Junior averaged 38 points, seven rebounds and three steals in Highlanders’ two wins last week.

Mariana Moody, Spring Valley: Junior averaged 20.6 points, 15.3 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in Vikings’ three games last week.

Jhnai Sumter, Lower Richland: Sophomore averaged 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, six steals and three assists in Diamond Hornets’ two wins last week.
