The votes are in, and Cardinal Newman’s Lauren Rivers wins the vote for The State’s Midlands High School Volleyball Player of the Week.

Thanks to all who voted. A new poll will be up on Tuesday afternoon.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun. Congrats to all the nominees.

This week’s nominees

Ceigan Carter, Keenan: Senior outside hitter had 14 kills, 21 digs, six aces in two matches last week.

Gabby Esposito, Gilbert: Sophomore had 36 kills, 28 digs and three aces in two matches last week.

Grayson Graham, Spring Valley: Senior had 11 aces, 17 kills, 32 digs and 51 service receptions in two matches last week.

Mia Hammond, Columbia: Senior had 12 aces during the match against American Leadership.

Camryn Jeffery, Westwood: Senior middle hitter had 67 kills, 39 service receptions, 38 digs and 12 blocks in two matches last week.

Lauren Rivers, Cardinal Newman: Freshman setter had 103 assists, 46 digs and seven aces in three matches.

Caroline Tucker, River Bluff: Junior outside hitter had 50 kills, 44 digs and 42 service receptions in eight matches at Dorman Tournament of Champions.
