Cardinal Newman junior voted Midlands high school volleyball Player of the Week

The votes are in, and Cardinal Newman’s Leila Hargrove wins the vote for The State’s Midlands High School Volleyball Player of the Week.

Thanks to all who voted. A new poll will be up on Tuesday afternoon.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun. Congrats to all the nominees.

This week’s nominees

Aryanna Connell, Camden: Senior middle hitter had 51 kills, eight aces, seven blocks, 29 digs and three assists in three matches last week.

Leila Hargrove, Cardinal Newman: Junior middle blocker had 18 kills, 10 aces, eight blocks in three matches last week.

Alexis Jodie, River Bluff: Junior setter had six aces, 10 digs, 50 assists and six kills in two matches last week.

Callie Wilbanks, Mid-Carolina: The senior outside hitter had 27 kills, six aces, nine digs and no service errors.

Kaylie Spires, Gilbert: In two matches last week, the freshman had 28 digs, 15 kills, 11 aces and 29 assists.
