Camden two-way standout voted The State’s Midlands high school football Player of Week
The votes are in, and Camden receiver/defensive back Tylin Drakford wins the vote for The State’s Midlands High School Football Player of the Week.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun. Congrats to all the nominees.
This week’s nominees
Antonio Adams, WR, Lower Richland: Senior caught four passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Crestwood.
Jonathan Clarkson, RB, North Central: Senior carried it 24 times for 236 yards and four touchdowns in a loss to Buford.
Johnny Collins, QB, Blythewood: Junior was 11 of 19 passing for 244 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Spring Valley.
Tylin Drakeford, WR/DB, Camden: Junior had 205 all-purpose yards, a touchdown, also three tackles and pass break-up in a win over Dreher.
Kasiah Harkless-Adams, OL, Swansea: Senior graded out at 83% with three pancake blocks in a win over Columbia.
BJ Mack, RB, AC Flora: Junior had 16 carries for 110 yards and three TDs, including the game-winner with 20.5 seconds left, in a win over York.
Matthew McAulay, RB/LB, Lexington: The senior ran for three touchdowns and had nine tackles in a win over Laurens.
Tyheim McNeil, WR/RB, Keenan: Senior caught seven passes for 130 yards, two touchdowns and carried it nine times for 112 yards and two scores in a win over Chester.
Tanner Watkins, QB, Batesburg-Leesville: Senior was 6 of 7 passing for 184 yards, two touchdowns, carried it seven times for 90 yards and a score in a win over Mid-Carolina.
Colin Williams, LB, Pelion: Senior had tackles, a sack, blocked a punt and recovered it for a touchdown, recovered a fumble for a TD and had an interception in a win over Eau Claire.
