Junior Emerson Ramsdale voted Midlands high school volleyball Player of the Week

The votes are in, and Cardinal Newman’s Emerson Ramsdale wins the vote for The State’s Midlands High School Volleyball Player of the Week.

Thanks to all who voted. A new poll will be up on Tuesday afternoon.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun. Congrats to all the nominees.

To nominate a player, coaches must email Lou Bezjak at lbezjak@thestate.com by Tuesdays at noon.

This week’s nominees

Lilly Almada, Westwood: In the Redhawks’ lone match last week, the senior had 20 assists, three aces, 11 service points, 11 digs, three kills and three solo blocks.

Aalisah Davis, Columbia: The junior middle hitter had eight kills and seven blocks in the Caps’ lone match last week.

Sydney Fischer, Lexington: The senior setter had 35 assists, five aces and seven digs in the Wildcats’ two matches last week.

Alexis Jodie, River Bluff: The junior recorded her 3,000th career assist last week. In two matches for the Gators, Jodie had 57 assists and 19 digs.

Emerson Ramsdale, Cardinal Newman: The junior libero had 10 digs, five assists, 13 of 14 service receptions in the Cards’ lone match last week.
