Spring Valley junior voted The State’s high school Boys Basketball Player of Week

The votes are in, and Spring Valley’s Dewayne Patterson won the vote for The State’s Midlands High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week.

Thanks to all who voted. A new poll will be up on Monday afternoon.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun. Congrats to all the nominees.

Coaches can send nominations each week to lbezjak@thestate.com by 1 p.m. on Mondays.

Boys Basketball Nominees

Levi Ball, Gray Collegiate: Junior averaged 17 points, six rebounds and 2.5 blocks in wins over No. 1 North Augusta and No. 5 Brookland-Cayce.

Korie Corbett, Ridge View: In the Blazers’ two wins last week, the junior averaged 16 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Khaleb Feaster, Fairfield Central: Junior averaged 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the Griffins’ two wins last week.

Jaiden Haltiwanger, Hammond: Senior averaged 26.5 points, seven rebounds and four assists in Skyhawks’ two games last week.

Carter Jackson, Brookland-Cayce: Sophomore averaged 14.5 points in the Bearcats’ two games last week.

Jackson Lorick, White Knoll: Lorick had 16 points, 11 rebounds, two assists in Wolves’ game against River Bluff.

Milton McCray, CA Johnson: Sophomore averaged 18 points four assists and two blocks for the Green Hornets.

Tristen McCleary, Heathwood Hall: In two games last week, the senior averaged 14 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.

Bennett Nicholson, Richard Winn: Junior averaged 16 points, five rebounds, three assists and 3.5 steals in Eagles’ three wins last week.

DeWayne Patterson, Spring Valley: Patterson averaged 24.6 points in Vikings’ three games last week.

Kolton Rogers, Pelion: The junior post player averaged 16.6 points, 10 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in the Panthers’ three wins last week.
