Camden sophomore voted The State’s high school Girls Basketball Player of Week
The votes are in, and Camden’s Harmony Jefferson won the vote for The State’s Midlands High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week.
Thanks to all who voted this year. This was the last poll for the regular season. A player of the year poll will be done after the state championships are completed.
The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun. Congrats to all the nominees.
Girls Basketball Nominees
Michaela Fairwell, Dutch Fork: Senior averaged 19 points as Silver Foxes won second straight region title and earned No. 1 seed in 5A Division Upper State playoffs.
Lauren Jacobs, Heathwood Hall: Senior and Ole Miss signee had 24 points, five rebounds and three steals in Highlanders’ lone game last week against Ben Lippen.
Harmony Jefferson, Camden: The sophomore averaged 10.6 points, 4.6 steals, four assists and three rebounds in Bulldogs’ three games week.
Taelor Lee-Sutton, Keenan: Lee-Sutton had 22 points, six steals and six assists in Raiders’ lone win against Newberry last week.
Lyric Rogers, Westwood: Ninth grader had 24 points, six steals and four assists in Redhawks’ lone game, a win over West Florence.
Izzy Saville, Lexington: Senior averaged 11 points (hit six 3-pointers), six rebounds and three steals in Wildcats’ two victories last week
Kadence Walker-Lee, Gray Collegiate: Senior averaged 17 points and 14.5 rebounds in War Eagles’ two victories last week.
