Ben Lippen’s Summons, Irmo’s Brown voted area basketball players of the week
The votes are in, and Ben Lippen’s Ariel Summons and Irmo’s Christian Brown won the vote for The State’s Midlands High School Basketball Players of the Week.

Boys Player of Week nominees
Justus Bell, Dutch Fork: Senior guard averaged 21.5 points and 2.5 assists in two games last week.
Christian Brown, Irmo: Junior averaged 18 points a game in three Yellow Jackets wins last week.
Braylen Davis, Batesburg-Leesville: Junior guard averaged 15 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in two games last week.
Asa McQuaker, Blythewood: Senior averaged 11 points, eight rebounds and two steals in Bengals’ two games last week
Xander Pertile, Heathwood Hall: Senior forward averaged 11.3 points and 10.3 rebounds in three games last week.
Braysen Stockman, Ben Lippen: Senior guard averaged 29.3 points, seven rebounds and 3.3 steals in three wins last week.
Girls Player of Week nominees
Aneya Britt, Gray Collegiate: Junior averaged 21.2 points and 11.1 rebounds in three road wins last week. Britt is averaging 22.9 points and 10.7 rebounds on the season.
Trinity Crumlin, Dutch Fork: In three games last week, Crumlin averaged 13.6 points and 11.3 rebounds.
Teonna Draughn, AC Flora: Senior guard had 19 points, five rebounds and two steals in AC Flora’s OT win over River Bluff.
Jazz McMillan, Hammond: Junior averaged 27.5 points and five rebounds in two games last week.
Jordan Samuel, Lugoff-Elgin: Sophomore guard averaged 21 points, six assists and three steals in two games last week.
Ariel Summons, Ben Lippen: Eighth grader averaged 10.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in three games last week.
Chase Thomas, Blythewood: Senior guard averaged 21 points and 14 rebounds last week.
