A look at The State’s all-area boys and girls wrestling teams and wrestlers of the year from Midlands-area high schools for the 2025-26 season.

All-Area Boys Wrestling Team

First Team

Ethan Adams, AC Flora: Junior was Upper State champion finished second in the 132-pound division at the Class 4A championship.

Nolan Addeo, Hammond: Senior won his second-straight SCISA championship at the 215-pound division.

Davante Carter, Richland Northeast: Junior was runner-up in the 144-pound division at the Class 4A championship.

Isaiah Dover, Pelion: Sophomore finished third in 132-pound division at Class A/2A championship.

Triston Johnson, Cardinal Newman: Johnson won the 132-pound crown at SCISA championships for his first state title.

John Grove, AC Flora: Senior was the Upper State champion and came in fourth in the 165-pound division at Class 4A championship.

Logan Hinton, Lugoff-Elgin: In his third state championship appearance, the senior won his first state title and won the 190-pound championship in Class 5A.

Hadi Jabali, Dreher: Junior came in third in the 165-pound division at the Class 4A championship.

Zion Johnson, Westwood: Senior finished third in the 215-pound division of the Class 5A championship.

Makhi Jones, Eau Claire: Junior finished third in the 215-pound division at the Class 2A championship.

Carter Lirgg, Cardinal Newman: The freshman won his second-straight SCISA title, winning the 113-pound championship after winning at 106 pounds last year. Lirgg also won the championship at Prep Slam nationals.

Eli Lorang, Cardinal Newman: The freshman won his second-straight SCISA title, winning the 120-pound championship after getting one at 113 pounds last year.

Franco Pressley, Dreher: Junior was Upper State champion and runner-up at the 106-pound division at the Class 4A championship.

Cobin Rabon, Hammond: The junior won his fifth straight SCISA championship at fourth different weight class in capturing the 150-pound championship.

Shayne Ross, Cardinal Newman: Junior won the 144-pound title at SCISA championships for his first state title.

Cooper Smythe, Cardinal Newman: Smytle won the 138-pound title at SCISA championships after finishing second last year.

Jackson Stocker, Dutch Fork: Senior won his first state title in the Class 5A 132-pound division after two straight runner-up finishes.

Jake Stroud, Gilbert: Senior was fourth in the 190-pound division at Class 4A championship and a North-South All-Star selection.

Carson Sturgess, Mid-Carolina: Sophomore finished runner-up in the 126-pound division at Class 2A championship.

Shiloh Tindal, Pelion: Senior was Upper State champion and runner-up in the 138-pound division at the Class 2A championship.

Jack Turner, Cardinal Newman: Junior won the SCISA 120-pound championship for his first state title.

Victor Washington, Dreher: Senior came in fourth in the 150-pound division at the Class 4A championship.

Preston White, Ben Lippen: Won the SCISA 126-pound championship for Falcons after winning three straight championships at Chapin High School. Senior was named SCISA Most Outstanding Wrestler. White also won the championship at Prep Slam national tournament and is signed with Lander.

Jerel Wine, Swansea: Senior was 3A Lower State champion and was in the top-eight at the 190-pound division at Class 3A championship.

Ryker Woolstenhulme, Mid-Carolina: Junior was runner-up in 144-pound division at Class 2A championship.

First Team

Grace Beeson, Lexington: Sophomore won her second-straight state championship by defeating Rock Hill’s Reagan Beard in the 120-pound division.

Jemizhia Delli, White Knoll: The freshman finished fourth in the 100-pound division at the girls state championship.

Givyn Dyer, Airport: The senior won her first championship by pinning Greenwood’s Malia Hart to win the 140-pound title.

Grace Jumper, Chapin: The senior finished third in the 140-pound division at the girls state championship.

Audra Petroff, Blythewood: The senior finished fourth in the 155-pound division at the girls state championship.

Amy Robinson, River Bluff: The senior finished third in the 155-pound division at the girls state championship.

Kyrra Shipman-Lutz, River Bluff: Became the Gators’ first state girls champion by pinning Greenwood’s Heaven Whatley at the 3:58 mark to win the 190-pound title.

Rory Travis, Gilbert: The senior was runner-up in the 170-pound division at the girls state championship.

Sophia Voudouris, River Bluff: Junior finished third in the 135-pound division at the girls state championship
