It’s time to vote for The State’s high school spring sports Players of the Week from Midlands-area schools and ​games played from April 13-18.

Voting ends Friday at noon. The winner will be announced on Lou Bezjak’s Twitter page.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.

Girls Player of Week Nominees

Payton Gonce, Lexington softball: Junior catcher hit .667 with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and two doubles last week.

Payton Hart, River Bluff lacrosse: The senior attacker had 5 goals and 5 assists in matches last week. Hart also eclipsed 100 points for her career during the week.

Lydia Kiker, Gray Collegiate soccer: Freshman forward had 5 goals and 1 assist in War Eagles’ four matches last week.

Cici Martin, Blythewood softball: Martin went 3-for-6 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored and an RBI.

Anna Mathis, Gilbert softball: Freshman went 7-for-13 with a home and 8 RBIs last week for the Indians.

Furaha Mayinga Bora, Columbia soccer: Junior had 3 goals in 2 matches against Mid-Carolina last week.

Bonnie Pope, Heathwood Hall lacrosse: Junior gave up just 3 goals and had an 85% save percentage in two matches last week.

Reginae Porterfield, White Knoll softball: Freshman center fielder went 5-for-6 with a HR and 5 RBIs in two games last week.

Mackenzie Sease, Gray Collegiate softball: Struck out 13 in a complete-game, 3-2 win over North Augusta. At the plate, Sease went 6-for-10 with 7 RBIs.

Lily Sundell, Lexington lacrosse: Senior midfielder had 8 goals, 2 assists, 2 ground balls, 14 draw controls, 33 draw attempts and 24 draw wins last week.

Louise Vipperman, AC Flora lacrosse: Senior attacker had 14 goals, 4 assists, 2 ground balls and 11 draw controls last week.

Boys Player of Week Nominees

Kell Daniel, American Leadership soccer: Senior had the game-winning goal and help shut down Batesburg-Leesville’s top scorer in 2-1 (OT) upset win over the Panthers

Walker Godwin, River Bluff baseball: Senior shortstop went 8-for-12 with 3 doubles and 9 RBIs in Gators’ three wins last week.

Lawson Lawrence, Mid-Carolina baseball: Senior pitcher won his lone start, going 6 innings and allowing 2 hits and striking out 4.

Ernesto Marceleno-Brazell, Swansea soccer: Senior D/MF scored three goals for the Tigers last week.

Cullen Maas, AC Flora soccer: Senior forward scored 6 goals, had 1 assist and went over the 100-goal mark for his career in the Falcons’ two matches last week.

Luciano Menchetti, Blythewood lacrosse: The junior had 7 goals and 7 assists in two matches last week.

Graham Parsons, Brookland-Cayce soccer: Parsons had 6 goals and an assist in two matches last week.

Matthew Pinasco, Hammond soccer: Senior scored 7 goals and had 4 assists in Skyhawks’ two wins last week.

Michael Shields, River Bluff lacrosse: Senior won 67% of his faceoffs last week and 77% for the season, and went over 700 faceoffs won in his career.

Brogan Sox, Gray Collegiate baseball: Senior pitched a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts to defeat Brookland-Cayce 7-0 last week.

Christian Spivey, Lexington baseball: Junior went 6-for-8 with 3 home runs, a double and 10 RBIs last week.

Howie Vroon, River Bluff golf: Vroon shot a 69 to win medalist honors and help the Gators win the Lexington County championship.

Dillon Woods, White Knoll baseball: Senior first baseman hit .600 with 3 HRs (including a grand slam), 9 RBIs, 4 runs and 2 doubles.
