Vote for The State’s Midlands 2026 high school softball Player of the Year
It’s time to vote for The State’s Midlands 2026 softball Player of the Year.
Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, and you can vote as many times as you like. The winner will be announced Thursday, June 18 along with The State’s all-area softball and baseball teams.
The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.
Softball Player of the Year Nominees
Aspen Boulware, Gray Collegiate: Senior hit .554 with 12 home runs, 43 RBIs, 58 stolen bases, 72 runs scored and a 1.169 slugging percentage. The University of South Carolina signee was an All-State selection and picked as S.C. Gatorade Player of the Year and MaxPreps Player of the Year in helping the War Eagles to their third-straight state championship.
Alexis Jodie, River Bluff: Senior first baseman/pitcher hit .613 with 12 doubles, four triples, five home runs and 31 RBIs. As a pitcher, she was 11-4 with 90 strikeouts in 81.2 innings and was an All-State selection.
Miller Martin, Saluda: Freshman pitcher was 15-3 with a 0.70 ERA and struck out 248 batters in 139.2 innings pitched in helping the Tigers to their first state championship. At the plate, she hit .308 with 5 home runs and 32 RBIs. Martin was an All-State selection.
Ainsley Minchew, Batesburg-Leesville: Sophomore pitcher was 14-5 with a 1.24 ERA and 226 strikeouts in 106.2 innings pitched. At the plate, she hit .363 with 3 home runs, 15 RBIs and 7 doubles. Minchew was an All-State selection.
Pressli Reynolds, AC Flora: The sophomore SS/P hit .571 with 12 home runs, 50 RBIs and 16 doubles. As a pitcher, the All-State selection was 14-1 with a 1.69 ERA and 117 strikeouts in 99 innings pitched.
Mackenzie Sease, Gray Collegiate: Junior pitcher/first baseman hit .521 with 5 home runs 47 RBIs and 10 doubles. As a pitcher, she was 11-0 with 0.87 ERA and 130 strikeouts in 72.1 innings. Sease was an All-State selection in helping the War Eagles to their third-straight state championship.
Livi Warren, Lexington: Senior outfielder hit .556 with 13 doubles, 5 home runs and 28 RBIs. Warren was All-State and North South All-Star selection and signed to play at Gardner-Webb.
