Tim Perry is coming back to high school coaching.

The former Airport High coach will be the new baseball coach at White Knoll after his second stint in college baseball. Perry replaces Dolan Crolley, who left after two seasons to become head coach at Blythewood.

Perry spent the last six years in college and was at Coastal Carolina from 2021-24 as the director of player development and analytics. He was at Winthrop in 2025-26 he was recruiting coordinator and pitching coach.

Before Coastal and Winthrop, Perry was at Airport (2011-21) and went 165-96-2 with two state championship appearances in 2013 and 2018. Airport lost to A.C. Flora in the 2013 finals and Chapin in 2018. Under Perry, the Eagles won four region championships and four district titles, and several of his players went on to play college baseball.

In his college stints, Perry coached 10 seasons with stops at his alma mater Newberry, Lander, UNC Asheville and Temple University. He was part of UNC Asheville’s team that won the school’s first Big South Championship in 2006.

White Knoll is coming off a 10-14 season and finished 5-5 in Region 4-5A, its best region finish in a decade. The Timberwolves are in one of the toughest baseball regions in the state with Chapin, Lexington, Dutch Fork and River Bluff. Those four teams all have won state championships in the past decade.
