Lexington boys, Dutch Fork and A.C. Flora girls win cross country qualifiers
Lexington’s boys and the Dutch Fork and A.C. Flora girls each took first place at the Middle State cross country state qualifers Saturday.
The Wildcats finished with 83 points, just ahead of Dutch Fork to win the Class 4A boys. Dan Bell led Lexington with a 10th place finish. Dutch Fork had three runners in the top 10, led by Avery Dominick’s second-place finish.
In the girls 4A race, Dutch Fork’s Brianna Hartley finished first as five Silver Fox runners placed in the top 10.
In the girls 3A race, A.C. Flora’s Susannah Cate took first and three Falcon runners were in the top 10.
The South Carolina state cross country championships will be held Nov. 7 at Sandhills.
