Debbie Stroman named athletic director at Lower Richland

Debbie Stroman has been named the athletic director at Lower Richland High School.

Stroman’s hire was approved Tuesday at a Richland One school board meeting. She replaces Bob Matz, who left in August to become Richland One athletic director.

Stroman and football coach Darryl Page have been co-athletic directors since the beginning of the school year.

Stroman has been the school’s girls basketball coach since 1992-93 and has won seven state titles. But under Richland One policy, she won’t be able to coach and be an athletic director.
