Lexington girls move up in USA Today soccer polls
The Lexington girls’ soccer team moved up one spot in the latest USA Today/NSCAA Soccer polls released Tuesday.
The Wildcats are No. 18 in the rankings and are the lone South Carolina team in the polls. Lexington defeated Cane Bay 15-0 on Monday in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs and will host Bluffton on Wednesday.
On the boys side, River Bluff dropped five spots to No. 8 following its loss to Wando on April 23. The Gators opened the playoffs Monday with a 3-0 win over Stratford and will host the Ashley Ridge-Sumter winner in the second round Thursday.
Wando dropped one spot to No. 2 and Nation Ford moved into the rankings at No. 20.
