Today’s “Five On The Rise” will focus on Midlands players who have a chance at being impact players this fall:

Torrey Boone, OL, Westwood: This 6-foot-2, 295-pound Class of 2016 trenchman has been attractive to recruiters since his sophomore season, but he is awaiting a first offer. Has good feet for a big man and demonstrates the ability to pull from his guard spot. Holds his blocks well. Good guard prospect at least for the Division-II to FCS level.

Alec Deboer, WR, Dutch Fork: The 6-1, 189-pound rising senior was an impact player as a junior with excellent speed and is dangerous with the ball in his hands. Has the potential to be one of the top WRs in the state.

Michael Johnson, LB, White Knoll: This 6-2, 210-pound Class of 2017 athlete can play in several areas. As he continues to develop physically and matures in the game, he will be even more attractive as a prospect. Takes on blockers well and is good in run defense and can play tight end if needed.

Dayrun Keith, Ath., Pelion: This Class of 2018 player started as a freshman and saw time as a corner and wide receiver. At 6-0, 170, has a very good skill set at each position.

Chance Walker, WR/RB, Swansea: Returns for his senior year but will not sneak up on anyone. His prowess is well-known by defensive coordinators who face the Tigers. The 5-9, 175-pound receiver/running back has sub-4.5 speed and is an attractive small-school prospect.
