Keep eye on Chapin Eagles in Region 4-3A
HERE ARE MY preseason high school football team predictions for Region 4-3A:
Chapin Eagles: They are returning one of the region’s most exciting players at quarterback and good experience in key spots on offense and defense.
A.C. Flora Falcons: I like this team as a contender for the region crown. The region’s top quarterback is returning with solid talent in every spot.
Lower Richland Diamond Hornets: They were winless in the region last season, but coach Darryl Page should have the talent to get this team in the top four.
Dreher Blue Devils: They return one of the state’s top signal callers but lost a lot to graduation and will be weak in the trenches.
Richland Northeast Cavaliers: Will see improvement but will struggle to get inside the top four for playoff contention.
Camden Bulldogs: They lost some talent to graduation, and their starting quarterback transferred out.
10 PLAYER TO WATCH
In alphabetical order:
Avery Armstrong (QB, Dreher): One of the state’s top signal callers.
Logan Bailey (QB, Chapin): I love this kid’s athleticism. One of the best in the region.
TJ Brunson (LB, Richland Northeast): Region’s top defensive player at linebacker.
Larry Collins (WR, Lower Richland): Major DI prospect at the position.
Brendan Greene (QB, A.C. Flora): The region’s top QB can do it with arm or legs.
Phillip Holliday (TE, A.C. Flora): Solid prospect for the Falcons will be integral part of their offense.
Taylor Kelly (WR, Camden): Was impact player for the Bulldogs as a junior last season.
Justin Reese (DB, Lower Richland): Sophomore defender has looked good in the offseason.
Will Register (TE/DE, Chapin): The top prospect in this region, this junior will impact either side of the ball.
