After rough outing Wednesday, Tre Jackson bounced back in a big way.
The Blythewood guard and Iowa State signee scored 22 points against Hartsville and then capped his night off by winning the 3-point contest at the Chick-fil-A Classic on Thursday night.
“Today I came out and wanted to make every shot,” Jackson said. “This is a big tournament, I have been it my whole career, playing in the Chick-fil-A Classic. This year, I wanted to win it.”
Jackson hit 17 points out of 20 in the first round and followed that up with 15 in the final round to win the contest.
Hillcrest Prep (Ariz) Devan Cambridge won the slam dunk contest. Cambridge got a perfect 30 on his first dunk when he caught it on backboard for a slam.
